ace0927
That was quite a bit more upper level and less overrunning induced than this event is, there was a decent surface low that formed off the Delmarva as well. That occurred in SW flow but wasn't really a true SW flow storm. i was just looking at the PSU historical maps and h5 and surface looks similar, that was why I said it...not to mention the seasons have kinda unfolded similarly

ace0927
We had two snow events here that winter, but one was a rare LIS enhanced 3" event which was our first measureable that year. I recall the synoptic event, but not the specific setup. take a look at this http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/NARR/2002/us0119.php#picture

SBUWX23
Mount Holly should be up when theres significant weather going on. Id assume they are doing the pre-dual pol stuff now but im sure it will be up this weekend. Let's see if they can stay down during the next 48 hours to make things even more awesome. TwcMan
.25-.35 in mostly snow would be a blessing in a winter where we can't be too picky.
jiksports
.25-.35 in mostly snow would be a blessing in a winter where we can't be too picky. It's a good 2-4 inches of wet snow, good for snowballs and sledding.
