Ginx snewx
This is always great to see in a winter sounding 18 hrs prior, heavy snow squalls. Sweet Total Totals 52 risk heavy thunderstorms.
TalcottWx
Clouds have rolled in here already. Perhaps an early start? Impressive amount of moisture building over us on wv.

Clinch Leatherwood
NAM QPF is not impressive. Looks more like a snow shower or squall coming through for an hour or two than anything else. 1-2" ought to do it here if the NAM is to be believed...maybe coating to 2". ORH_wxman
TTs still approaching the mid 50s on the NAM later this evening for eastern areas...which still suggests some heavier bursts of convective snow mixed in. The steep lapse rate going right into the snow growth region too should only help.

It'll be a good burst of precip but the NAM is fast, and just cut back on the moisture it seems. Just one run, but typically SE winds don't bring us as much here as we'd expect. Drag talked about it all the time in the old days.
moneypitmike
Just noticed that the WWA from GYX has 4-6" up there. Not too shabby for our friends there.
TalcottWx
Sitting up the island enjoying a coffee. Most eastern point in town. Staring east at our weenie snow. Low deck of a couple thousand feet probably 7-10 miles offshore and approaching.

BTV has been watching this same scenario up this way across NNY, translating SEward into central/southern VT and SNE. THE LOCAL BTV 4KM AND HI RES ARW SHOW PROGGED COMPOSITE DBZ RETURNS BTWN 35 AND 40 IN A NARROW RIBBON ACRS THE SLV THIS EVENING...SUGGESTING THE POTENTIAL FOR A BURST OF SNOW...WITH VIS BLW 1/2SM AND BRIEF SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 OR 2 INCHES PER HOUR. weatherMA
Yeah here we go again another middle of the night event! lol...I know. I'll take it though. 9pm-2am beats 2am-7am IMO. Saturday should be a nice daytime event...although it always tends to start earlier then you think so I wouldn't be surprised if it started snowing like 4-5am Saturday.
