Cold Miser
Exactly what my wife said, she likes snow, yea that's it. lol. Got to keep the spirits high with humor this season. Not even 10" on the ground for me this year. I suppose it could take just a couple of feb. KU's and an few over performers like the other night and I'd be right near average. weatherMA
I posted soundings near your area, pelted your head so hard you end up looking as bald as Kev. Yup...at this point I'd take it. snow>sleet>ice>dry>rain

wxmanmitch
I think the 18Z NAM presentation for Saturday's event is too warm in the mid-levels, especially with a persistent high to the north of us. I do not see the sleet/freezing rain line getting into the S VT and S NH. I tend to think it doesn't get much north of about a POU, HFD, PVD, TAN line. Euro looks good for a nice snowfall for many away from the south coast of CT, RI, and MA.

I know this is a dumb question but when we say the south coast of RI and MA, are we saying Newport and the cape? Like is northern RI looking ok? Like is northern RI looking ok? you live in Cumberland Bro, you are as far from the south coast as anyone in RI can get, besides its 3-4 days away. Read a lot the next couple of days, one of the Mets will lay it out by then.

Everyone is interested in what is happening in their back yard but it helps to try and get a feel for it from the posts and have a look at the models. e-wall is a good link to use for checking the models - http://www.meteo.psu...mski/ewall.html

weatherMA
Big bump north on the GFS. Congrats GC to Socks. Epic battle ground near the pike...also much faster then the nam by about 6 hours (more of a morning-early afternoon storm then a afternoon-evening storm). Still cooler then the nam significantly. Looks like maybe 6-7" in places that stay all snow N of pike.
Ginx snewx
Big bump north on the GFS. Congrats GC to Socks. colder at low levels, sneaky warm layer further south, Track over the Cape, QPF expansion, further south 7H and 8h but more intense. You may see a few pingers or ZR but it'd be the end after the damage is already done. I like 4-6" advisory over a wide area.
