wxsniss
biggest snow for many in sne and its dead , delfated 's Was gonna comment the same lol. Frustration this winter has turned to apathy... Also, it's the 3rd WWA event of the week. Maybe someone can comment on what upstream obs we should look for as signs of a more north or south tick / juicier or drier system... ski MRG
biggest snow for many in sne and its dead , delfated 's BOX bumped my storm total up. Looking good for a 6-7" snowfall, perhaps more. Keep ticking North baby!!!

Mr Torchey
Well here she comes, not the prettiest thing I have ever seen, I dont give a rats ass, 1.6 will be my biggest snowfall of the year.
Logan11
ALY is very subdued about this event - only forecasting 2 to 4 inches in Peru. BOX bumped my storm total up. ski MRG
ALY is very subdued about this event - only forecasting 2 to 4 inches in Peru. Well, it's quite obvious they are wrong. Always go with the highest forecast total within a 10 mile radius.

HIPPYVALLEY
Looking at the radar and the ir water vapor I'm not anticipating an over performer here. Few inches is going to be great butI think the lack of qpf and the speed of the system will keep us on the low end of forecast totals. Just my feeling atm. In the year of little snow I think many of us just can't believe it yet....waiting for the 0z runs then it'll be game on. Radar not real impressive yet but that was expected. Clinch Leatherwood
Ah ok, so when things start to shape up, I'll see some more buzz here I haven't been paying much attention to the models, is the 0z NAM sucking wind or is it just through 12 hours which is all that I can see? Clinch Leatherwood
This system does not look impressive to our west. NO and the NAM so far is tragic when compared to the 12z. When Rob was asking why there weren't many posts...this is why. In a tough year better to not get excited until the flakes fly like last night. NAM isn't terrible, but it's a far cry from the earlier run.
RI Rob
Kinda a dumb question, but is SNE going to be hit with the large chunk moving through Ohio/Indiana? Or is it what is forming a little south of that.
Tropopause_Fold
00z nam is now much more in line with other guidance...colder/drier. I'm still concerned about cruddy lift away from the south coast

Mr Torchey
Just got in from sledding, woot long live winter 4-6 tomorrow for all. nam looked dreadful and somehow managed to give me .5+ of pow pow 15:1 ratios lol, 6-10?

ORH_wxman
Yeah closer to that 12z euro run. About .5" out here Its definitely less than the Euro up this way...Euro gave around 0.30" of qpf for ORH-BOS...NAM looks like maybe 0.20" if lucky. Clinch Leatherwood
Yeah closer to that 12z euro run. About .5" out here Ok lets hope the 0z Euro isn't going south and the NAM is just playing catchup. Euro been so consistent...looks much like it now with you and I getting slapped around by the onshore flow on the way out.

Clinch Leatherwood
Radar looks hideous Forecasters nightmare in the NAM gradient if it follows through to other models. 1" in Boston to 5-8" on Cape Cod. Yeah euro was more generous over MA west of BOS...I think it was .28 or something at ORH. I was more just referring to the nam vs itself...it's way closer to those midday globals than the runs that were spitting out like .9" out here. Lol.
