Fastest moving storm I have ever seen in my lifetime at least.

I second that, this storm is majorly impressive.

Reminds me of the 1/9/08 early morning winter "derecho"....amazing stuff.

I freaking love wind events. I'm heading into the yard to watch this thing come through with anemometer in hand!

Well that was rather uneventful, the line really lost organization right before the ROC. blast!

Well apparently when the squall line came through here it had outrun the actual cold front, because now we are getting absolutely slammed.

Impressive! Quite the increase in the winds very quickly.

Temperature dropped from 45 to 32 in a one hour period between 7 and 8pm here in north Toronto. Very high winds too. Most impressive frontal passage we've seen in awhile. Temperature now in the mid to upper 20s.

1/2" of snow this morning from those bands of lake effect swinging through quickly. Probably see another 1/2" from that band off Georgian bay... hopefully ill see another 2" from that clipper tomorrow...

Holiday Valley picked up 4" overnight and they've been getting blasted all morning so they're probably over 6" since last night. They're up to a 50" base. Not bad

Ontario LES plume getting to me the last 90 minutes. Blowing horizontally so one can only guess maybe 1/2 inch of powder fell.....will go to woods and figure it out when it's over. 21.9F now.

Very windy here also... flurries at times.

So the 32 and fog was blown out around 10-11 PM and we shot up to 45, then crashed back down to 39 by midnight and 32 by 3:00 AM. Now 29 and dropping.

I'm suprised you spiked that high. We only hit 36.3 yesterday but lots of rain.

I ended up with 3 inches of snow, followed by A LOT of ice. Woke up this morning to about a quarter inch of hard ice covering everything. It took me 40 minutes to clean my car....man i hate freezing rain!

not too shabby.

must be a wonderland.

my parents were away for 10 days, they just returned to ottawa today and said there was a 'fresh' new 12 inches of compacted and compressed, iced over snow in barrhaven to be cleared from the pathway. the pack is going to have staying power as the previous snow underneath was also compressed and compacted nicely with high water content.

i'll be heading there this weekend or early next week :bike:

Me too. I came back from Albany tuesday evening (5-6:00+/-) and the elevated portion of I88 west of Duansburg was 33° and there apperared to be an accident on both the east and west bound lanes. Then before we dropped into Schoharie the temp spiked to 40. It dropped back to 33° before Cobleskill but then spiked again and was ~42° around Delhi.

Quick summary of this weeks weather. Sunday morning -7°, Monday morning -6°, Tuesday 40's and rain, Wednesday teens in the afternoon, and Thursday morning +2°(and dropping). It doesn't get much worse than that to me.
