I'd imagine it is not a fun ride on I-80 in central PA now. I've driven on that highway in a few squalls......nervewracking to say the least.

Worst was this day(January 6th, 2004)...luckily I was about an hour behind the pile up heading westbound toward it. I remember the visibility dropping to 100 ft. or so in the squall and I just managed to be passing by a rest stop location on I-80 and was able to pull off the road.

February and March are gonna be rockin guys

Based upon what exactly? The tangible data right now seem to allow for a ~10 dayish period of good teleconnections for winter fun around here, but that's about it. I know it's a banter thread and all, but it would be nice to read why you feel we'll be "rockin" for two months or so...

Winter.

It is really really quiet here at the oil company, for a Monday, and it's Jan. 30th. Disaster of a heating season. Horrible first qtr. Company will not recover even if it does get cold for more than 2-3 day periods at this point.. I'm not too worried, but still I could show up tomorrow and find the place boarded up.

Since there is no snow here, I figured I would share this. My sister lives about 10 miles south of this location and she had only 4 inches of snow. This just goes to show the sharp gradient with lake effect snow!
