If that heavy rain band holds up we may Join central pa and the rest of the mountains with the lightning later on this is very impressive for march.

On a side note the New 00z Nam try's to bring that wave along the front a bit more west southeast Delaware gets in on moderate Precip and south jersey and rest of east Delaware sees light Precip. Take it with a grain of salt something to watch if GFS or euro try's to do this.

Finally major props to the SPC for a job well done in the Ohio valley and south today they nailed this storm outbreak nam also deserves credit for nailing the dynamics. God bless all the people out there who got affected by them.

Great job by them and great warning - for sure it cut down on casualties.

The NAM is SO close. Probably too late for major precip, but we could get in it with another shift.

As so often happens during "necessary" times, Mount Holly NWS: "Radar out of service on the NWS site." :axe: Is that supposed to be a joke of some sort?!?

No it is not a joke. Just so you know, two of our techs were at the radar site for hours today trying to get it back in service. Now we wait for parts to arrive on Saturday. It is frustrating how many times our radar is going down.

So, what's this offshore mess showing up on the models? Heights look really low but there is very little discussion about it.

Surface temps will probably destroy snow chances again.

Its been there for days but a bit further southeast than currently depicted. GEM had it sideswiping the area days ago but gave up a while back. Now the NAM is trying to do likewise. Right now its the only model bringing precip ashore as far as I can tell.

Seems like one of those sneak-up events, bears watching IMO.

You're more likely to see precip than most, but like you said, BL issues are also likely. Assuming anything makes it ashore which still appears questionable.

Areas that far south also need to watch that clipper we were discussing a few days ago, the GEM pushed it south a bit and the EC resurrected it somewhat, so now both are kinda showing it moving across Virginia with a shot of precip up to southern NJ.

I blame the Jersey Devil.
