michsnowfreak Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 After several minor snowfalls that mostly stuck to the grass in December, we finally have gotten a few days of sustained winter here in SE MI. After about an inch of synoptic snow on the 13th, lake effect snow pleasantly exceeded expectations late on the 13th (another 0.7") and on the 14th (2.5"...2" fell in 2 hours 430-630pm). We are now at 10" on the season, but it doesnt feel like it. A pittance compared to the deep snows that covered us nearly all winter last year (not to mention the better part of the last 4 winters), but at least it looks like winter! 1-13-12, night sparkle 1-14-12, winter morn The start of the LES band that dumped 2" in 2 hours imby last evening 1-14-12 Heres what the puffy fluff looked like right after the band moved out Leaving my friends in Bloomfield last night (much less snow), I had to wait for deer to cross the road lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
