Finally! Winter scenes in southeast Michigan

Recommended Posts

After several minor snowfalls that mostly stuck to the grass in December, we finally have gotten a few days of sustained winter here in SE MI. After about an inch of synoptic snow on the 13th, lake effect snow pleasantly exceeded expectations late on the 13th (another 0.7") and on the 14th (2.5"...2" fell in 2 hours 430-630pm). We are now at 10" on the season, but it doesnt feel like it.

A pittance compared to the deep snows that covered us nearly all winter last year (not to mention the better part of the last 4 winters), but at least it looks like winter!
