Met question, SW winds were gusting to 30 for a bit, they completely died and right now there is no wind, what process did we just see?

The wetbulbing at the surface might have created a very thin inversion to slow the winds down temporarily, or at least made the low levels a tad more stable if not an inversion...but they are still just off the deck...ORH airport was gusting to 27 knots out of the SW last ob...so the winds are still there.

That burst of heavier snow I had has intensified on radar as it moves east...so BOS might get another really good burst. They should easily be able to pull of an inch...maybe 1.5"+.

Already an inch now..hopefully 1.5"+, but gotta go to bed shortly, so it will be compacted probably when I get up, as it warms and mixes later on.
