Logan11
I see quite a bit has developed on radar in southern NY and NJ so that could prolong it for people like Joe in southern locales. I await the echoes now in western NY.

sankaty
Steady snow here. Haven't measured, but looks like .5 to .75 inches already. Wasn't really expecting anything so this is very nice. First measurable snow since October here. Wet snow is has coated everything. Looks lovely. 32.

Tropopause_Fold
FWIW the advance of the 850 warmth has actually been retreating to our SW. buying time. Probably combo of evaporative and some slight dynamic cooling going on. Was pretty well modeled actually. It'll hold through this first wave then advance I think...but hopefully stay sw long enough for some folks to squeeze out 1-3"

Logan11
Maybe the warming has been a bit overstated ..it's just a glorified clipper in the dead of winter. Places with ocean exposure to south winds though have a problem with the balmy SST's now though. FWIW the advance of the 850 warmth has actually been retreating to our SW. buying time.
