Noticed additional ice accretion on north facing sidewalks after the recent band of rain/sleet moved through here in Mercer co. It isn't much, but its interesting to see a little microclimate in action with a frozen ground. Sidewalks with southern exposure are just wet, while those blocked with only northern exposure are icy and crunchy underfoot.

Still some very slick spots here in Mercer Co, stepped outside and almost slid off the porch.

It isn't widespread, but again like I posted above, sheltered areas are pretty icy even now at 2AM.

Off and on sleet last evening and rain froze on some places that were next to frozen ground here in NW Chesco.

Ground was still crunchy under foot this morning since it's still frozen solid even though temp was at 34.5.

What looked like a bleak pattern is looking more interesting going forward.

Same, off/on sleet/FRZ and rain throughout most of the night. It was sunny when I woke up at 7AM this morning though. Now its back to cloudy again.
