Are you thinking our area stays mostly snow now this weekends? CTP still has us in a "wintry mix", which I am doubting seeing as how the models have trended colder.

It certainly appears at least the freezing rain threats on the shelf, though I'm not gonna write off a possible mix with sleet just yet in State College. But I haven't seen anything but all snow for UNV in todays 12z model suite so we're lookin pretty good right now.

Updated map. First Call

I think everyone in here would take that and run! Looks pretty reasonable though based on today's turn of mood in the models

Ok, thanks. I wasn't surprised at their mention of sleet so much as I was at the mention of freezing rain. I'm sure they'll update their forecast grids this afternoon to reflect the models more accurately.

Nice band starting to light up on Cambria/Clearfield counties..though it doesn't appear to be translating to the ground quite yet. No really notable snow in the webcams in Cambria, though in Clearfield (the town) they're showing snow is falling.

EDIT: Now snowing on the Gallitzen and Cresson Summit webcams.

Headlines are starting to crop up for the weekend event. Mount Holly just posted watches for a few southern Pocono's counties for 4-7" and B-more/DC just put them up in the I-68 corridor in western MD for up to 1/4" of ice. Makes me wander if CTP puts up a swath of watches near/along the I-80 corridor as the QPF and potential for good snow ratios makes a low end warning possibly achievable.

Most likely, Philly is still looking at a mixing type situation and NYC is in a good place to see mainly snow from this currently.

A few weenie flakes falling currently. There are still patches of snow from yesterday morning, so this is the first time this winter we'll have snow falling on snow (at least for when I've been here. Tussey Mountain is barely visible so there's some better snow up that way it looks like.
