Snow_Miser
LOL at people panicking over 1 NAM run. That had the 850 temperatures SIGHTLY north than before. The 12z NAM and the 18z NAM looked nearly identical IMO, just near NYC it's a bit warmer at 850 mb than before. The 850 mb temperatures in NW NJ look about the same comparing the 12z run to the 18z run.

Snow_Miser
This storm kind of reminds me of December 8th 2011, except backwards... December 8th looked good up until 2 days before, and this storm looked worse up until 2 days before.

ag3
Superband forming and heading towards Mt. earthlight. I fully expect it to reach 45dbz strength and sit over earthlight and drop several inches. And then push east as a weak band.

NEG NAO
Tomorrows event may be similar to this event - especially if a low pops off the delmarva and enhances the snowfall rate- only difference will be some accumulations further south across central and southern NJ - the overall setup is similar http://www.njfreeway.../09-Dec-05.html

ag3
I still don't feel fully comfortable until I see every 12z model show snow at 12z and even 0z tonight. These events can pop 50 miles north right at the end.

I know the routine and I respect the board enough that I always follow it. I simply couldn't help myself this time and it's a pain to quote someone and post in another thread on my iPhone.
