ok folks, time to get out those pre-storm phrases...."ignore the models it's nowcast time" "radar looks like crap" "omg my BY is going to get screwed" "someone in Philly only got 1 inch so we're going to get screwed" Add your own:

"precip will be over by 3z", "the sun angle is killing us"

I got sites blocked but I use proxies if I need a site. Boss has caught me looking on radar in the past but I told him it's important so I can keep him updated on the weather :pimp:

One of the reasons I have a content filter at our law firm, so if anyone tried to pull your stunt I would know :axe: Though they don't have two monitors. Be careful!

Yea a lot of public sector, represent largest union in nassau. Also so employee suits and employer defense as well

That's cool. My dad's firm does fund work for the public sector and also do prepaid legal services for social workers, teachers & cops. I assume CSEA is biggest in Nassau. We bid for Nassau County PBA for prepaid legal a few years back but Nassau is too political.

This one is really going to start popping up as we head into February. "Oh no it's not going to accumulate because it's snowing during the afternoon, the roads will be too warm, the sun angle is too strong". Tell that to D.C/Baltimore and Philly who got 60-80" during the Snowpocalypse.

yup CSEA. Nassau is insanely political all around, all law is though. Just had an appeal to court of appeals denied for blatantly political reasons.

dumbest argument ever....of course in a minor event at 32 degrees at 2pm could be an issue-but any storm of substance and its meaningless.

Even in a marginal temp situation, the problem is the temperature, not the sun angle. The sun angle doesn't really play a role until we enter March and even than it only plays a role in light snow/marginal temp situations.
