Brian5671
Spring will feature major -nao with well below temps and very wet. You can book that. That's usually what we get at the end of a warm winter....the blocking starts 4/1 and it's off to the races with overcast, drizzle and miserable weather 5 of 7 days

nycsnow
Major wild fire problems this summer too, especially Long Island and Canada. 2 brush fires in my Brooklyn neighborhood last week. We always get them here and statement island and queens get them a lot to.
Snowshack
Major wild fire problems this summer too, especially Long Island and Canada. I dont know about Canada, but what about this upcoming year signals brush fire concerns for LI? We've had a +NAO for a while and are not lacking for precipitation. We didnt have a significant brushfire at all last season in the area my dept covers..

Thunderdude
If it ain't going to snow then bring on the warmth but I wished the pattern did change this month with good -NAO through March. Then we could get some good snow chances then pattern goes back to the +NAO so then warm weather would come into for spring.

TheTrials
Expect the models to trend stronger with that heat ridge. 850 temps of plus 12 would not surprise me. Upper 70s anyone?
