jm1220
850's are well below and thicknesses are low. NAM shows surface temps of 32-34 for the city. But its been poor with surface temps, the past 3 weeks. South/SW winds are roaring out of the south at 20-30 mph for the coast. Almost regardless of what 850 temps are, it's rain on the coast. ag3
It doesn't have to be. Agreed. Maybe for the immediate south shore facing areas, but NYC and north shore areas are fine. NYC: 950 temps are -3 850's are -12 to -8 522 thickness Guaranteed snow.

Brian5671
dude, there has been enough wind damage, chillax with that. I want more. Stormlover74
But if it damages your property you are responsible (unless you can show that you made a formal complaint to the neighbor to remove it) I want more. psv88
I think early February will be cold, and because JB has said this, like he has said it ever since Thanksgiving, this will make him what, like 1 for 8, with a 16% verification score...not too bad...seriously, my left knee is hurting so i know we will get snow first week february. $20 bucks on it, any takers? Hailstorm
I'd trade up three winters in NYC for this amazing cold in MN: Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -22. Wind chill values as low as -42. Northwest wind between 9 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

ag3
Everyone knows the euro will cave tonight or tomorrow and we will have another rain storm Saturday. Let's be real. The silence in this forum is telling. Normally, we would be hopping when the euro shows 3"-6" inside of 96 hours. But not this year.

But not this year. very true...although I feel very little stress like in years past--feel we have nothing to lose, so if it doesnt work out, then whatever...nothing has gone right this year except for last night's surprise event...so either the tide has turned or last night was blip in an otherwise snowless winter.
