GFS is warm and north with this weekends event. Looks similiar to Feb 2008 event. That storm overachiever for our area. It was supposed to merge with another low but it never did. Maybe we will get lucky with this event.

I wouldn't give up on this event just yet. We've recently seen the GFS and NAM overdo warmth especially at the mid-levels.I know it didn't make a difference here last week but across parts of MA and NH it did. Let's wait and see what the King has to say.

This morning was perfect running weather. It was right around 40F in the park, sunshine. Can't ask for better in January.

Well I mean nice weather as in spring weather. I can't stand any more of this benign and boring 40's crap.

uh huh. Right. Its not swowing their either, even if you were going, which you arent

Not snowing there at the moment, but the pattern out west says they should get several shots at snow in the next week and no, the picture was not taken this year-they are hurting for snow 68% of normal YTD.

Clipper from the 12z GGEM. A little nice thumping of snow :santa:

Sweet! Looks like heaviest snow right along the R/S boundary, looks to set up right where last nights line was, suffolk/nassau border, southwest towards JFK...wash, rinse, repeat...good thing i live where i do, 4 miles south and its a mess, last night included.

I honestly think my 150-200 feet in elevation helped me out a bit last night, was snowing long after NJ people switched over and it stuck to the roads, was surprised.
