a warm up follows into next week around the time of the traditional January thaw 22-24th. But it doesn't last long as the warmth contributes to the building warm Davis Straits/Greenland ridge that will tank the NAO and start a blocking pattern that should turn February interesting.

Check out the forecast for Mt. Rainier, I know its 12,000 feet but still awesome to look at. That adds up to like 10 feet of snow

Tonight: Snow. Low around 3. West southwest wind between 10 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.

Wednesday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 28. Breezy, with a southwest wind around 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 29 to 35 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 25. Breezy, with a west southwest wind between 24 and 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 24 to 30 inches possible.

Thursday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 25. Breezy, with a west southwest wind between 16 and 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 11 to 17 inches possible.

Thursday Night: Snow. Low around 16. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 11 to 17 inches possible.
