Cfa
Speaking of, did we ever get a picture of Cfa's blown in window?? Lmao yes, it's a few pages back. I'm thinking the wind may have sent a piece of debri into it. The screen wasn't ripped so if something did hit the window it most likely bounced off the screen. Windows dont just blow out in Tropical Storm force winds/gusts. Just for now to prove that I wasn't lying: JFK technically saw a trace and I didn't even see a flurry. psv88
Lmao yes, it's a few pages back. What kind of window pane is that? 1/2 pane? I dont think i have ever seen a window pain that thin before... And whose house did u vandalize to snap the pic?
snywx
Most places are having trouble getting above freezing, even in the city and coast. I think temps are supposed to hold steady or rise slightly overnight though. Yeah ive noticed.. Wondering if that is gonna have an effect on frozen/freezing precip later on tonight.. jiksports
Yeah ive noticed.. Wondering if that is gonna have an effect on frozen/freezing precip later on tonight.. IsentropicLift
Just to let you know...and I mean this is an entirely respectful way...I am not exactly new to this stuff...when Mattingly went .324 / 35 HR / 145 rbi's...the year you were born...I had already been following the area's climatology for some time... And I say this in the most respectful way as well, most people that live in NYC and eastward are not familiar with the various "snow peaks" in NJ and the upstate. You my friend sound like a good exception.
snywx
All NYC weather stations are reporting temps greater than or equal to 32. I was referring to areas outside of NYC proper. Most dewpoints in and around the region are still in the single digits as well..
IsentropicLift
Yeah ive noticed.. Wondering if that is gonna have an effect on frozen/freezing precip later on tonight.. per the 12z NAM, surface temps rise above freezing in the city between 00z and 03z. Then between 06z and 09z for everyone else except the Poconos. By 12z everyone is above freezing.

You my friend sound like a good exception. Thats because its NJ. Other than AC and the cool tweeter center in camden, there is no reason to go to NJ. Even the Hoboken st pattys day parade was cancelled. People care about upstate because it is beautiful, open countryside. Westchester and CT are nice. But NJ...come on. IsentropicLift
The 09z SREF is in decent agreement with the 12z NAM, the 2m freezing line is right over the city between 21z and 00z, then draped over 287 at 03z. By 06z everyone except the far NW burbs are above freezing. By 09z just about everyone in our forecast region is above freezing including Orange and Sussex Counties. Your governor looks like hes about to pop at any time don't get me started about NJ vs NY. If NY fell off the globe I could care less. Those that don't think NJ is beautiful are naive and misinformed. NJ is one of the most diverse states in the country. We have over 100 miles of beautiful beaches, mountains in the NW. Vast forrest in the NW and South. Farmland and industry. We didn't get the nickname the "Garden State" because of Newark. and if you're lucky, that "governor" will be our "President" after this joker is finaly out of office. (Based on the fact that the American people are probably dumb enough to put him back in for another four years)

Where did you go to school? http://www.agclassroom.org/kids/stats/newjersey.pdf NJ ranks second in blueberry production and third in cranberry production. If you love blueberries, visit Hammanton Township, dubbed the "Blueberry capital of the world". I believe we are also number two in Lobster production behind only Maine. I don't want to get into a "my state is better than yours" debate but to say that NJ has nothing in it is completely ignorent and absurd.

I went to school South Huntington in suffolk for high school, Emory University in Atlanta for college, and St. Johns law school in queens. Not really sure how that matters. Your lobster stats are suspect. According the most recent study i found, NJ ranks behind Maine, NH, Mass, RI and CT in lobster production, barely beating NY... http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/sfa/FMP/Archive%20Files%20(FMP)/NE_AmLobster_FMP_%20Final.pdf Table 2, page 10.... psv88
For a complete listing of everything that NJ harvests http://www.state.nj....vailability.htm So what? All im saying is that people care about snow upstate to ski, Pa to ski, VT to ski...NJ? Nobody really cares. Who goes on vacation to visit NJ other than italians from BK and SI who love the shore, in the process keeping the rest of the civilized world on the nice beaches of long island. I like AC to gamble and party for bachelor parties, thats about it. And yes i have gone skiing at the great gorge or whatever it is and it was awful skiing. Drive an hour north to get some real skiing.

NJ is a very nice state with lots of fruits and veggies... alright then, I just removed my last post part of the problem is that we are all on edge due to the lack of something weather related to discuss. I happen to think that both NY and NJ are equally nice, both have good and bad. Take a ride south on the Parkway this summer, you will find many out of state plates, including lots of folks from NY and many from Canada as well. The French Canadien's practically take over Wildwood.
