Brian5671
this winter sucks. if we have a severe torch week of 1/22, that will suck less for 2 reasons-we can track the record highs and also get out and enjoy it....

SnoSki14
A torch in January sucks. Who the hell wants 60's in January? Normally I would agree with you, but really who wants 20s and no snow. Plus this winter is horrible anyway so at this point I welcome record highs, bring on the 70s!!
TheTrials
Do as you wish. When the February storm comes, and you're stuck in subsidence, the snow gods will laugh. the only thing coming in February is flowers, budding trees, baby ducks, and an all out torch. TheTrials
You should be banned for this post. trust me, that is no where as bad as in your inability to understand maps are current temps and previous precip, but hey, as it turns out, neither of us are going anywhere. snywx
I think upper single digits are possible tonight for much of suburbia NJ, with low/mid single digits in the coldest valleys of NW NJ. Ideal radiational cooling set-up most of the night with fairly stable/slowly rising 850s. Urban zones won't make it colder than last night, NYC probably mid-upper 10s. Dropped to 8 last night and currently sitting at 18. sub zero temps may not be too far away for tonight.

KEITH L.I
Very cool. Thanks for posting this. Pretty cool stuff..on the 8/26/67 forecast Gordon was talking more about the weather that just happened than the weather for the next few days..back in the 60's and early 70's forecasts just went out for a few days..wasn't until the late 70's and 80's that 5 day forecasts were common
scooter13
I wouldn't be shocked to see our biggest snowstorm come in February or even March. I mean really, how long is this pattern going to last? The NAO and AO have been positive since September. Hopefully untill April.
