The cold ended in February. We switched to a new pattern in February.

The month was only 1.4 degrees above normal and that's mostly due to 2 days that had 20+ temp departures. I still got about 6 inches total inside the month of February.

You'll be begging for that "non winter month" as you say it was this year.

And March was actually around 1 degree below normal.

If January also goes snowless in NYC then that would be only the second time in recorded history that Central Park saw no measurable snow in January, and the first time in recorded history that Central Park saw no measurable snow in both December and January.

Central Park had a trace yesterday, so that is out the window.

What to do on a mid January day as a snowlover with nothing to track for weeks?.It's really tough,but these winters do happen usually once in a decade..ya just have to stick it out..I survived 72-73,97-98 and 01-02..and I'm still breathing

nice day outside...got to split some firewood and light the outdoor fire pit and pretend winter was setting in
