Spring & summer look cool and damp...next winter looks like a typical nino winter, which means "equal chances."

Of course I am nobody in the weather arena.

any early calls on spring, summer, and next winter?

I can't compete with that. I was going to post a picture of 2 month old, ugly, mangled leaves that blew onto my driveway.. and maybe a few twigs.

Whats sad is that for now on Cfa's obs will all be taken with a grain of salt. And it sucks because we trust one another in a way not to make **** up. Disappointing.

why even BS about something like that?

windows in NYC buildings are built to withstand 120+ mph winds

Yea I'm up about 800 ft in my office, and we must have had gusts > 60 mph. I think our windows are the original ones from when the building was built (1930), and they withstood the winds just fine.

FYI, Central Park reported 0.0 for snow today.

My understanding is one snowflake counts as a trace. I could be wrong, but that is what I think it is. Were they they only place that didn't see a snowflake today. Even I saw five.

John F. Kennedy and Islip Airports also officially recorded a trace of snow today in the Daily Climate Report.

Think of it this way, if its snowing on Long Island its most definitly snowing in the NW burbs or at least cold enough to snow. There are a few rare occasions where a storm is supressed far enough south that the Island gets into the snow and mostly everyone else misses out, but I don't recall any recent scenarios where the Island had a big event and NJ did very poor.

Well here's one...at least relatively speaking...
