Two other tornadoes were reported by spotters and OPP on April 27, but they could not be confirmed. There was 1 tornado related fatality in Goderich on August 21. According to Environment Canada they are able to confirm about 13 per year. 2009 holds the record with 34 confirmed tornadoes. Much of Ontario is open wilderness outside of radar range.
