cyclone77
Have about a half inch of very wet new snow on the ground. Woke up at some point and heard sleet pelting the window. Doesn't look like there was any rain or freezing rain initially. Still some very light snow falling.

wisconsinwx
Snowing pretty nicely right now. Have a WWA out for 2-4 inches and blowing snow.

turtlehurricane
Snowing pretty nicely right now. Have a WWA out for 2-4 inches and blowing snow. Yeah just woke up to it. 20+ mph gusts, temps in the upper 20s, and maybe an inch already. 35 dBZ snow band approaching from the west. Gonna have to be outside for that one! Baum
anybody have any thoughts on how this plays out over chicagoland? Got the salt trucks on standby just not sure if I should schedule additional drivers for a plowable snowfall in excess of an inch. LOT's 12Z Aviation update showed some uncertainty also. Just can't tell if that deformation band over the quad cities will impact us here. Thanks.

Pretty confident qpf and snow remains north of the area, with accums of dusting an inch across the far northern counties.

A-L-E-K
thanks, that's what I'm seeing based off current radar trends I think we'll get scraped by the tail end early this afternoon but it looks brief and with warm wet surfaces shouldn't accumulate much if any until you get well north. BowMeHunter
once the wind went nw and not off the boiling lake the temps dropped a quick 5 degrees. was hoping the wet snow pasting everthing would last a bit longer. looks like we should have no problem hitting 2" hopefully some 3-4" totals out there. daddylonglegs
Snowing all morning, but not adding up to a whole lot... Very light/small flakes. Makes for some ugly driving conditions.
BowMeHunter
Temps dropping faster than the Packers drop the ball and fumble. looks like i could use a little more latidue going forward if i wanted a chance at the high end of the wwa snow totals. Snow is really whipping around and will be hard to measure.. visibility sucks with the added in fog.. msn and mke reporting heavy snow but that not the case here but i can see msn being legit. Chicago WX
Congrats to the WI folks on the snow. Radar looks healthy, though relatively quick hitting. In addition to the hail overnight, 1.45" of liquid at LAF. Flood Warnings already up for the Wabash River.
wisconsinwx
Snow looks like it will come to an end rather quickly, and the back end now looks like it might actually pass south of the city. Gl, Bowme!
wisconsinwx
Definitely one last burst of heavier snow heading for you Bowme and the southern half of the county. Some isolated convective returns.

hawkeye_wx
Looks like I'll end up with about 1.5 inches... a little disappointing after seeing the NAM last night. One more good band of snow just developed and moved through. The flakes were a good size.
kab2791
Wow, HRRR really dumping some snow on me and kab. Yep, sleet has changed to snow now and will gradually become heavier. HRRR showing intense snowfall rates.
