weatherpsycho
Wow GRR and Muskegon over .7! Yeah but it is RAINING in GRR currently. Unfortunately not all of that is snow. Raining now at GRR but snowing in INDY right now. What a crazy system! Is southern MI part of the Gulf states?
WestMichigan
Wow GRR and Muskegon over .7! Yes, but we are going to waste some of that in the form of rain before it switches over.
Geos
Lake enhancement is kicking in north of Waukegan now. Flakes are about an inch across, snowing moderately. Roads are turning white.
Thundersnow12
Snow has really lightened up here. Best snow is near the lake and south of 88.
Central Illinois
Good friend of mine a firefighter in Decatur saying they are running like crazy right now with people forgetting how to drive. Figure that will be the same about everywhere. Rush hour in the Chicago metro area will be interesting. Yea I've seen numerous wrecks around the city so far...Rush hour in Chicago would be a nightmare with the Snow

Chicago Storm
32/31 in Muncie with light snow falling. Mostly small flakes with some slightly bigger ones mixing in. No rain mixing in at all. Sticking to cars, but not heavy enough yet to cover anything. EDIT: How's MIE looking on the Euro? Nam QPF has us at 0.13, GFS is a 0.28. Thanks in advance. Michigander
Yes, but we are going to waste some of that in the form of rain before it switches over. Agreed. Anyone with Euro access care to comment on the change over timing relative to this newly modeled increase in QPF?
SchaumburgStormer
This will be a cake walk compared to GHD. In memorium of GHD, Chicago residents are urged to become snowbound on LSD.
River Card
One of the prettier snowfalls and it's occuring during the day and with a nice bright sky. Not a bad winters day all things considering. Tons of wrecks everywhere though. Drive safe and keep all the reports coming in folks.

LizardMafia
Dry slot getting close to moving through the IND area. Since the snow hasn't added up to much, plus roads are wet should be a cake walk of a drive home late this afternoon.
nwohweather
updated one... That may be a tad too high. I don't see Lansing get 1-2 feet of snow. Or Toledo seeing near a foot. Lol need 35:1 ratios for that

hawkeye_wx
Closing in on 5 inches here. The heavier radar returns have pulled east of Cedar Rapids for good, but we should be able to make 6 by the time it ends this evening. Despite the very cold temp(11 degrees), etc. the snow to water ratio is only about 12 to 1.

hawkeye_wx
Why are you going with a 12:1, with such a low temp? I just took a core sample and that's what I got. That location had 5 inches of snow that melted down to 0.42". The flakes have been pretty small for most of the event.
