Fozz
No you would not, then you would have to watch the Ravens beat the Pats with him. All the while he would be reminding you how bad the Eagles suck. Please keep this thread related to the Saturday storm.
CoastalWx
Definitely a rather disorganized system, but it appears the best QPF is more associated with the WAA to the north of the low. A weak POS vortmax moving through not really helping out with the dynamics.

Ian
I'm just messin. It is still an iffy situ for DC but as long as most areas dont jump in temps unexpectedly they can see something frzn fall. .25" at 250:1 ratios can go a long way. yeah.. i dunno. in these borderline situations it's anyone's guess. i'm pretty confident there won't be much snow here tho one way or another. stormtracker
the euro was a little wetter last night...i'd be nervous in the southern burbs...I think Northern and NW burbs will do the best with this one...I'd like to be where Phineas is I'm taking the kids to see their Aunt Darlene this weekend! I'll be in HGR
H2O
Question for Matt/Ian since they have euro maps: Does the euro still show signs of blocking in the Atl as it has for the last few runs?
Deck Pic
Question for Matt/Ian since they have euro maps: Does the euro still show signs of blocking in the Atl as it has for the last few runs? yep...there is a blocking signature over Baffin Island/Davis Straits at the end of the run and it is getting stronger

ravensrule
should we peel off to another thread for the Jan 20/21 threat or will that put the kibosh on the storm? Alot of superstitious people in here so they would probably have a fit. IMO it is nonsense.
Bob Chill
should we peel off to another thread for the Jan 20/21 threat or will that put the kibosh on the storm? I'm going to have to vote no on that one. I'm not very superstitious but it seems like separate threads for marginal events puts voodoo hexes on the storms. Feb
Just hug the GGEM and you do not have to worry about a shift south, it is much easier on your nerves that way. Being 30 miles north of the Mason Dixon line sometimes has it's advantages. Come on up and watch the game here. You will just have to ignore all the Steelers stuff hanging in my bar room. I am a Washington Capitals fan though!
WinterWxLuvr
actually the last storm thread worked just fine... overperformer even Yeah, I guess it did. I was never in that storm, so I guess I forgot about it. Who started it? Wasn't it you? Start one up.
Bob Chill
Anybody think we get lucky tonight with a few snow showers? Hard to say. It might be tough to get precip to survive the apps. Worth keeping an eye on the precip out in IL / IN. That's probably our only chance.

BaltimoreWxGuy
"Preliminary SNOWFALL calls. Very tough forecast as described below but here they are, if you want another town/city just ask, final call will be tomorrow Mid-day. BWI-0.5" DC-coating, Frederick to Westminster-Hereford-Bel Air: 1.5". Southern PA-2-3". Confidence in this is low as of now due to uncertainty of cold air damming and the possibility of more mixing with mid atmopshere layers. Again in most areas there will be some ice after the initial snow and then some light rain or drizzle for some areas too." Thats my call on my weather page...I dont have thoughts on the ice accum yet
