I still dislike this winter more than 2010, and it is not just the snowfall

So damned boring. But your analogy was pretty good

Yea, I get that...I expected to be in the extreme minority.

It's cool...this season is def. more boring.

The stakes are higher in the more "exciting" seasons, games, what not....in order to exceedingly frustrate, there need be an inherent level of intrigue present. It needs to be compelling in order to build up enough hope to fall from grace.....this winter just doesn't have it....2010 did to the tune of exotically great levels.

I know Jerry and I are thinking about it but you young turks who are enamored with snow ought to really consider reloaction to a mountain climate.

The only thing it lets you do, is walk or run on the pavement. You can't play sports on any ground...except maybe basketball on asphalt, but that's about it. It's useless this time of year. Who the heck wants to see dead, brown ground.

Actually, we play Disk Golf pretty seriously. Last year in fact, when the snow started rotting and getting so you could walk on it we donned in snow shoes and played through it. it was tough but doable.

No I don't....I was ballz to the wall last winter. Of course someone has to counter your warlock posts about massive blizzards paralyzing the area. I tell you what is right or wrong with the pattern.

This winter, I...we all spoke about what could go wrong..with pretty strong wording.

There's always yellow flags thrown ..When I called for 20-30 lat year in the blizz you cautioned and said no.

10 and 2..hands on the wheel..no texting when driving. steady as she goes

Don't eat the yellow snow, stay away from loose women, eat your bran, ski the blues only...

I would trust Scooters caution more than your violent emotional swings, but your are more fun to read.

Thanks..I think.

He forgets how Will and a few others said the same thing. Any weenie can throw around double the expected amounts.

That's the thing. I like a good winter. I enjoy forecasting it and watching it fall. This isn't thrown at Tip...but anyone trying to take the high road and saying they don't mind boring, dull, dead weather in the middle of winter is full of it. It's a defense mechanism that people do. I have no problem saying the pattern blows and I hate it. Hell, Wes even said it. If I look like a weenie complaining, then so be it. At least I tell it how it is.

I didn't say the pattern doesn blow! Yes, agree - it sucks.

I also said I like a good snow storm just as much as the next guy. I said, it doesn't affect me emotionally - and it doesn't. Kevin's just trying to goad me into one of his hypothetical discussions so he can vent his own form of frustration and I won't do it. na na na-na na.

See, it does bother me. At least this year I can go to the gym more, but having 0.5" of snow so far in this met winter..sucks. It gets me down.

I hear yah.

well, let's put it into perspective... If it doesn snow good by Feb 1, it's officially over in my mind because you enter the futility days of sun stealing what you earn - haha

Bottom 5 finish possible. Maybe it will unseat 1979

But look on the bright side...it won't snow any less this year, parking is easier, wearing shorts is better than pants, fewer lip balms are needed.

You younguns are gonna get smacked by Feb 1978 someday, and this will all be a hazy memory

I miss the days when I had fun on the boards when it would snow and there were threats of snow, and the days when I could look out in mid Jan and see snow on the ground, instead of Flamingos and Geese tanning in mid winter.

I hate getting excited for a "T"... my snowblower is rusting in my shed (although I wish I had used it yesterday).

Wind events are interesting, but dry ones suck

If we lose tomorrow, Watch any local TV station at 11pm. I'll be the top story.

Now, if you are asking me which season was more mundane, than it is this year....no question.

But 2010 was more frustrating for me.

not to start shiat, and I'm not, but you did so much better in inches of snow in 09/10 than this year (so far and certainly, up to this date)

was it because you (NE) did not receive more snow than any other region in the east or something else that made it so bad, because it just doesn't make logical sense that this year would be worse than 09/10, temp or snow-wise?

After fire rains down on us, I am getting more and more excited about Feb, really think its going to be a spectacular snow month for sne, just enough blocking to send these systems south of long island.

A little blocking and ridging near ak returning will do a sne weenie good.

Get stoked, enjoy the mega death torch and get ready for a fun finish............ma nature would never let us go out like this, lock that up.
