Damage In Tolland
Really? Yes..all you guys posting how happy you are..more snow for you..you get hit again..That's great and all for you. But to be honest we don't want to read about that while we get yet another rain event in almost all of SNE..sans some ice. If you put yourselves in our shoes, I think you'd feel the same way
dryslot
Maybe a separate thread for Connecticut storm discussion? I guess no reason to have seperate regions, They already have done that

CoastalWx
I did NOT like seeing the SREFs jog north. Yes and it could still come a little more north. You'll still get an impact, so enjoy.
CoastalWx
Scott, gun to head here for Thursday? Or is it too early still? I'm nervous. I'd bank on a few inches for now, followed by some IP and a little ice, but it still has room to wiggle.

CoastalWx
I know we've mentioned it before, but that is where that slightly elevated CAD signature comes into play. The coldest air is actually residing at 1000-1500 ft, and hangs onto it the longest. So even if the boundary layer climbs above freezing, you can still see a decent ice event at elevation. Pretty classic with 950 flow from the ENE too. I think what I mentioned earlier still might apply..unless this goes really north. Even if the low comes a little closer and mid levels warm, I don't think it will effect the srfc temps much in places like the ORH hills..especially nrn ones. CoastalWx
That feature on the NAM is very convective looking over the Catskills. Strong frontogenesis with that. LIs aren't far from 0 if you can believe that.
CoastalWx
Well you guys will have to see what the other guidance does today. Even with these ticks north, it gives Kevin and Ray some wintry precip...and then brings them back to ice up a bit by later Thursday.

weathafella
Well verification on one forecast. I predicted yesterday morning that Kevin melts down within 2 weeks. I should have said 2 days...lol... Strange experience this morning, having to deal with icy walkways from the snow. BOS probably had measurable as they are measuring QPF. HoarfrostHubb
lol at the people mad because others are going to see some snow. I was happy that the DC area folks got a little yesterday. It is weather. I won't be happy about commuting in it, but no big deal even if it is all rain for me. MJHUB
Got my 3rd Trace for the season this AM nice to see the driveway with snow on it for once this year. rain is clearly in the cards for me with no hope of anything wintery. I really belive since last year in SNE was so awsome the lack of anyhting this year hurts even more. But o well can't wind them all

Baroclinic Zone
Also, there is no need to break off threads for the same storm within one subforum. If you don't like the discussion, take a break. It's the 1st legit winter storm threat for many in a month plus. Enjoy the chase and not necessarily the outcome.
