weathafella
This is the worst winter of my life, thus far......even the guidance has sucked and has displayed horrific discontinuity pretty close in. Wake me next October. So far...I can say the same thing with a much larger sample size.

CoastalWx
Ray gets a 2-3hr burst of snow, and then a little IP or ZR and maybe rain before the temp falls again. I don't think something like that is unreasonable for his locale.
Cold Miser
Ray may get the coldest rain possible, but he may ice up a bit as the low passes just near the Cape. Isn't this the system that last week many mets here, and others (even Kevin) told us not to get excited about, and that it would be a rain event? It sounds like any froz. precip will be a bonus for many considering what it seemed like it was going to be (rain).
HIPPYVALLEY
In reality this should not be too shocking since, aside from 24 hours of model hope from sun. night to mon. night, most of us were expecting rain from this system since late last week. The snowier outcomes were more model hiccup than trend.

weathafella
I'm sorry... were you here in 2006-2007? That was pretty cruddy. And of course you were not around for 1979... But yeah, models have hinted at a few events and then blown donkey balls....Dec 23, Dec 27, this... Not even f u c king close on the cp...seriously. 2006-07 is close to this point but that pattern fliip lasted 2 months. This one probably 2 weeks. 1979-80 had much more snow to this point believe it or not. This one is the king dead ratter that makes me miss 2001-02. wxmanmitch
Looks like a big sleeter here in the Berks after 1-2" of snow on the front end. If NAM verifies, there is going to be an epic battle between WAA and dynamic cooling in the northern half of MA, which could mean a large gradient between Pete and MPM. We'll see how this evolves, but I think this is mostly an icing event locally with sleet and freezing rain. Plymouth, NH will score on this one.
