CoastalWx
I sort of like the NAM with maybe a bit warmer euro tossed in, especially nrn ORH and srn NH areas. It's an icing threat for now after some snow in those areas and even down into nrn CT perhaps, but this is all track dependent. I think this 12z run will really give us an idea one way or another. Even if it nudges north, it still doesn't exclude interior areas well nw of getting ice...it just warms the mid levels more. One thing I mentioned the other day, is that this low will apparently pull the cold air and tuck back into eastern areas by late Thursday and Thuraday Night..with BOS in the cross hairs possible. With lots of lingering low level moisture..could see FZDZ and an ice up possible.

Mr Torchey
Trends are pretty clear, its pretty incredible how each storm trends warmer the last 48 hrs.....continues to prove how in this winter caution is king. Wake me next October. I'm sorry... were you here in 2006-2007? That was pretty cruddy. And of course you were not around for 1979... CoastalWx
Decent probs for ice across the Berks on the SREFs. NAM seems to indicate ice for the hills of ORH too.

CoastalWx
The NAM really dynamically cools nrn mass and srn NH. 850 temps actually cool thanks to the lift. Could be a good snow gradient between Socks and Will possibly, if that is right.

CoastalWx
There is a sneaky warm layer at 800mb, so could be IP across the areas from near FIT through EEN on this run.
Baroclinic Zone
NAM is a little warmer this run. 9z ETA briefly shows a closed 850 contour as the low get out into Mass Bay. Would help enhance snowfall up into the ME/NH mtns.

MarkO
Wow, looks like the mountains may get a foot on the NAM. Since splitting time here in Lowell and up north, I'd take the juicy NAM over yesterday's GFS/ECM. Still concerned it could taint up there, but if NAM verifies, skiing should be awesome.
