.NOW...

A FAST MOVING LINE OF PRECIPITATION IS MOVING INTO THE WASHINGTON

DC METROPOLITAN REGION. THE LINE...MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH...WILL

BEGIN AS RAIN BUT RAPIDLY CHANGE TO SNOW. ALTHOUGH TEMPERATURES

ARE IN THE LOW TO MID 40S THERE MAY BE A QUICK COATING OF SNOW ON

TREES AND CARS BEFORE ENDING. WINDS WILL TURN TO THE WEST-

NORTHWEST GUSTING UP TO 30 MPH BETWEEN 11 PM AND 1 AM.

You say people on here predicted this and then you call it a "surprise" LOL. Mock me all you want, but I haven't seen anyone other than Ellinwood mention this.

There's been a chance of snow for tonight in my point and click forecast for three days. I know of at least two gfs model runs on Thursday or Friday that showed some snow tonight too.

Not so fast my friend.

We might just get a little snow tomorrow night. Each run of the NAM pushes the measureable precip further over the mtns. and the sim radar as a look much like Jan 7/8 last year had. That one was a quick burst of snow that put down about 1 inch or so across most places. I doubt this one does that, but it might just whiten the ground.
