I've been without phone power for 6hrs, that's a first since everything else is running fine. Highest gust here was WNW at 46mph, so not as strong as recorded in G-town but still had frequent gusts in the 30-40mph range.

The drive home was pretty bad, dark intersections during friday eve rush hour really blow. I thought avoiding I270 would be a good move but it backfired. Wet soil apparently didn't help the trees...or PEPCO just sucks.

State of the Snowpack this morning:

I wonder if Clarksburg will get a pixel on NIC IMS?

Not much of a cold front yesterday. We bottomed out at 33.7F last night, even with winds going nearly calm and very little cloud cover.

You should stick it in a cooler and drive it up to liberty or whitetail. They could sure use the help.

you should know the answer being an engineer and all

I am sort of curious as to why more atmospheric scientists haven't been studying the wind microclimate around your house. I wonder what causes these rogue gusts that affect only you and no one else? Perhaps some kind of enhanced pressure gradient between your driveway and the street?

Either quote some specific examples or just stfu, really.

The meaningless, unsubstantiated trolling has run it's course.
