All federal offices will open two hour late tomorrow and there is a 2 hour delay for all federal workers.. For what?? But at least maybe it will help people get over the Ravens loss.

Have you been reading? There's freezing drizzle in many areas. Concern is for icy spots in the morning...

ok. maybe it will turn out warranted, but seems to be a stretch at the moment this freezing drizzle warrants everyone coming into work 2 hours late.

Just got back from Leesburg and roads are fine. Sidewalks were only wet and drizzle was spotty both to leesburg and back. Temps stayed 30 or below. Seems an overreaction by the Feds IMO.

It is. Those Feds are wussies. Us DC Gov people are hardy stock!

j/k federal peeps. Calm down. Enjoy your sleep in. I got in about an hour ago and things just seemed wet. No jokes please.

+1. Being from Pittsburgh, I have to laugh how wussy people from this region are. Here, adults panic by the word "ice".

I would be willing to bet its not really people FROM this area that are the biggest issue, but the fact that their are a lot of people from the south, and foreigners from areas that don't see much snow and ice.

I would like to thank you, the U.S. taxpayer for making it possible for me to sleep in late tomorrow. In return I promise to work hard if and/or when I manage to get through this frightful mist and arrive at my workplace.

And as a non-Fed who will be reporting to work on time, I thank you for assuring that the Monday morning traffic will be lighter than the precipitation.

Good catch on my words. In fact, I've often said the exact same thing. I have a friend here from South Carolina and he still won't leave the house if there is more than an inch. Got into one fender bender and says cars cannot be controlled in any wintry weather. Uh, ok.
