mattie g
I realize that western MD is in the general Mid-Atlantic area, but getting obs from out there is about as foreign to me as getting them from Vermont or Michigan or something.
WxUSAF
DCA will almost certainly end up with a positive departure on the day. Positive departure with an (modified) arctic frontal passage.

BethesdaWX
With 75mph gusts on the vantage pro I'm worried about his grill going with it too. Someone should call his neighbors if the power is still on after 100 year old trees came crashing down. Actually a few gusts in the 95mph range but that seems underdone. My grill is gone with the wind. Narly s**t!!!

Got home and a piece of LES made it over the MT, we had a 10 minute squall.

CranberryWX
Currently snow flurries falling with 1.0" of snow on ground. Most of that fell during the whiteout type snow squall between 3 and 3:30PM yesterday afternoon...otherwise just flurries most of the day. Kids get an extended Christmas break with schools closed today.
EastCoast NPZ
Dusting IMBY. Actual ground covering just south of me. Rt. 11S towards Middletown completely covered, and several accidents reported on I-81. Looks to be about 1/4" in Middletown, although it's blowing - so very tough to measure. A very nice surprise this morning.
