Ian Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 Also - the beam from the radar is hitting the precip at a higher elevation than places closer to the radar site. almost every single event starts with returns overhead that dont reach the ground for some time unless there is a thump snow. the vort is super weak.. we need rates to have any hope and so far there is not much hope.
