Today's activity in this thread pretty much sums up how bad our winter has been so far. The fact that we are analyzing a vort that at best drops a light dusting and hoping we just see flakes fall is kinda silly........but I'm all in anyway.

I like any snow chance regardless of amount. Sure, we all would like feet but there is something nice about a light event with high stickage probabilities.

We follow Ian's and Marks severe threads with just as much fervor and you know how those turn out. ;)

Hi, Ian.

Well, Winchester and Frederick County, VA schools were closed today for about an inch and a half. I will say the roads were horrible last night. Had neighbors that it took 2 hours to go 1.5 miles on route 7 last night. Over 20 cars in a ditch up the road from here. No one was expecting the snow last night and it showed.

Looks like were about to get hit again tonight. Looks like some 30 DBZ over Frederick and heading towards Leesburg. Where is JI?

Are you thinking a trace or .1"? I'm going all in with .1" even though LWX said it would only happen at higher elevs. I wonder if schools will be open?

have to see how it crosses initially. models had it regenning east of the mtns to some degree but question might be how soon. without both waves it might be tough to get a white ground but im still hopeful.

Not sure if that is going to even reach the ground. Im in Leesburg and nothing is falling now.

Hot Springs, VA, now with S-, not surprising with their elevation though.
