Gastonwxman
From Cordova Found this one, unreal When it gets that high, that's when it's too much. Bet hardly anyone can get their doors open with all that snow built up the way it is. 2 feet is as high I would like it but anything after that is too hard to walk through for me. calculus1
LOL Without the accompanying picture I just sound like some demented wino. Nah, it's all good! I love the wit and wisdom you and dsaur provide on the forum. I think the board benefits from the experiences you guys have had over the years. This place wouldn't be the same without you two bringing the occasional dry humor remark or tongue-in-cheek weather statement. Keep us on our toes!! Brick Tamland
This winter sucks. It'll get cold for two days, then warm back up in time for rain. I don't see anything changing, either.

tnweathernut
Found this one, unreal I wonder how they even have had an opportunity to melt anything enough to create icicles, lol. I mean, in looking at the maps the last 2 months, hasn't it been like -100 there every day? lol

Shawn
This winter sucks. It'll get cold for two days, then warm back up in time for rain. I don't see anything changing, either. I think I may start siding with Brick on this one. There most likely won't be an long period of arctic air. The NAO tank keeps getting more delayed. The "pattern change" is getting pushed back further and further. If it's Jan 10th and I'm able to not bundle up to go out like it has been for a while now.. then there's a problem. Well above normal temps, a chance at a cut-off for rain, then cool and dry. That's the pattern it seems. Can a winter storm happen? Sure, but we are running out of time. tnweathernut
We have already had a cliffdiver or two the last 24 hours. Who threw up in their mouth a little after watching the 12z gfs. Looks tasty, doesn't it? Place your comments here and as always............LET ERRRRRR RIP! or three, or four, or five, after last night and today's early runs I think half the board went diving. The despair after the 00Z runs last night was hard to watch. Yesterday was hard to watch all around, my meltdown, new threads being created for a storm that was shown on one model, wtf is a Van Denton, Brick's weenieism, people throwing in the towel on winter, mass cliff jumping, ect.. Yesterday was a rough day for the SE forums.
Tacoma
Yea like Brick said when we do get cold its always after or chasing the moisture after its gone. Now we're getting ready for a lot of moisture and then the cold will be chasing it again. Same old stuff when we get moisture its warm and when it turns cold there is no moisture. burgertime
We'll see where it goes. This brings Model Madness to a whole nother level. Just a few days ago we had major blocking and all that jazz for consecutive runs in a row. Now it's saying not so fast....but watch the 12z Euro have something totally new to real us back in! Snowless in Carrollton
Can we even get a stray flake this year ? I'm not even asking for accumulation. I'd just like to see a flake. I've never gone a winter without seeing at least a few flakes.

I've never gone a winter without seeing at least a few flakes. I've already recorded two days with trace snow amounts, so I've seen the flakes, some sloppy wet ones, but flakes did fly this winter season. Even KATL has seen a trace this season. You must have not been lucky enough to have gotten them, or you missed it.

I mean, in looking at the maps the last 2 months, hasn't it been like -100 there every day? lol It's probably from the lack of insulation in some of the structures allowing just enough heat to escape to create the icicles.
