CapturedNature
Heavy heavy flurries here. First flakes in close to a month. Whenever it was we had that inch of snow and flash freeze changeover December 8th? I only had a half inch here...next time it "snowed" was the dozen or so crystals that fell on 12/30. Very 1980ish. 33/23 here...looking forward to those low 20s and lower rolling into WNY now.
HoarfrostHubb
We have had numerous Ts, too many to remember and I haven't kept track., Dec 23 was the last that was close to measureable, but it wasn't even 0.1 Dec 8 was my last measurable. Below freezing at least. 29F/

Logan11
A modest LES plume giving me a steady -SN, but its absolute fluff so it's possible there is a half inch of it. 19.4F. This stuff may uplsope into Pete's GC zone ..seems to be aiming that way. S&P
Neither you or Jerry had the pleasure of growing up on the southern SNE CP. Even interior RI had Dec snow usually. A little late to this discussion, but i can share my own experience. I agree that December is a lousy month for the coast traditionally, water temps still too warm, and other factors working against us. I grew up within spitting distance of warm ocean waters (still live there). My father would take us up to thompsonville/springfiled for the holidays and i spent a glorious week with snow OTG. i remember numerous times when it would be snowing when we left to go home and as soon as we came out of the hills of N/W RI to snow would turn to rain with no snow OTG. Lots of disappointment for a snow loving kid (scars for life)
ChrisM
I find it so interesting that in the small state of MA you can get a station reading 12F in GC and 40F on Nantucket at the same time haha
Mr Torchey
Weenie flakes and 27 degrees currently...doesn't save the winter from being a huge bust, but it's nice to look at. Same here, but look at exit 22-26 on i95 cams, absolute whiteout and snow on the ground, missed it by 1.5 miles:)
Mr Torchey
Took a look at the traffic cams, the sun is out, but I see some snow on the grass and exit ramps. Must have been a decent burst there. Yeah its over now but it was near whiteout for a while. Back to our regularly scheduled suck fest of a winter

Mass isn't even a small state and that is not a big temp spread. If you are talking Rhode Island with -5 in the Hills and 38 on the coast on the coast or something....
