Returned from the tropics to.......the tropics?

Got in a 1:00am. and found the Pit basking in the 35* warmth. Rt. 2 west of G'fieldl was slush covered, and the remaining roads home were still packed with snow/ice. Most of the Saturday snow is gone this morning. The prior snos are intact. We need a refresher though--glad to be back.

40.2/39

All that's left are where the plows piled it along the side of rds and driveway piles. Totally wiped out . It hit 49.6 here last nite. Thankfully we'll replace it over the next 5-6 days

Sorry, Kevin. You'll see more snow at your office. BDL had solid cover hen I landed at midnight and that as the case all the way up 91.

I'm just glad it will be decent out when I have to walk to work around 320. Although my stupid shoes have some holes so that means wet socks...ditching Red Sox shoes from now on...they fall apart too quickly...buying me a pair of timbs...not with my next set of checks but the ones after that...so 3 weeks from this Thursday.

Interesting ride this AM. Left the glen with 32* and everything locked up, icy roads. Popped to 37 at 1700' and 39 at 2k although it has now slipped to 37. Snowpack pretty much unscathed so far. The glaze will work wonders. The trail groomer was out in Worthington. Hoping things break snowier.

Taking the commuter rail into the city it was amazing to see the difference in snow. When I left Concord, there was still 2" of snow on the ground despite the warm temperatures. By the time we got to Waltham, all snow had melted except for the piles. I attribute this to the fact that we were at about 34 for much of the afternoon/evening yesterday and the areas inside of 128 were torching into the 40's.

This torch never dissapoints, man was last night warm, snow gone 50s into VT last night at 9 pm, oh yeah true xxx winter weather.

Woods still covered , lawn 75 % gone, will be all gone by noon. Was a fantastic week, zero complaints, looks like the Berks held their snow. Good for ski hounds. Jan thaw unwelcome , whatcha going to do.

Hovered 31-33 all night here. Roads were bad at 7am and trees still glazed.

33F atm. Not nearly as torched as The Pit yet. ; )

LOL. I left BDL at 12:30a.m (the Pit temp then was 32.8). Coming up 91, there were a few spinouts near Whately/Hatfield. Looked okay at the Greenfield rotary, but once I was coming up Rt 2, the road was covered with wintry stuff. Horribly fog until I got into Shelburne and then it cleared out.

Obviously, I'm torched here now (41.1/39), but I'm at worst even-steven with Friday morning. The two events from the prior week are a total glacier. But, Al Gore tells me that even glaciers melt, so we'll see. Hopefully things will play out fantastically on Thursday night and whatever lose occurs between now and then will merely be a blip.

No real loss hear outside of compacting. We'll see where temps go the next few hours but I expect we'll still have wall to wall coverage.

Last year had 55+ days of snowcover here in a row, this year about 55 hours total, some nice nitrogen has been delivered into the soil, veggie garden on south side of house will be warm today, going to till in some compost turn the dirt over and edge the garden getting it ready for spring which is only 36 days away, hard to believe!!

Cant wait for veggies!!
