It's been disgustingly warm today, huge puddles of slush all over campus. Absolutely hating this weather. Hit 41F earlier at HCS and now back up to 39F. Front is probably about 3-4 hours away...it will take awhile for the temps to cool below freezing, but the snow melt should significantly slow/cease as soon as the dewpoint drops...snow melts much less at 40/28 than it does at 40/40. If you are down to half an inch of slush, might be out of luck. We are basically back to the 2-3" of concrete we had before last night...but its all mushy again. Clinch Leatherwood
Harv stats at 11pm. Boston 2.9" YTD versus a normal of 17.2 and 40" last year. Yeah...aside of the total lack of snow and the torch...it's been just a little bit below normal.

moneypitmike
They seem to have come down a bit from 4:00 (that's when they woke me). But I'm guessing that on the ever relialbe "Howl Scale". I am liking my p/c and zfp showing gusts to 55mph.
ski MRG
28/18, -sn, minimal damage to the snowpack after a few hours above 32. The wind is absolutely roaring. Peru notched a gust to 45mph a little while ago. The upslope snow machine is back on and with Thursdays system and Sat's system we are looking to be in great shape here on the east slope. Oh, what torch? I don't see 70's anywhere.lol Silly Warministas, warmth is for summer.

CapturedNature
I had a 23mph gust come through here at 0350 so I know whe the front crossed through here. Just in time too...most of yesterdays 3" is gone except for the piles that I shovelled and the shady parts of the yard. Temp down to 34° and the wind is gusty. eekuasepinniW
The lake should freeze up within the next week. Most of Paugus Bay finally froze a few days ago and the main body of the lake usually follows within 10 days, if cold and calm. Should be plenty of ice in time for the fishing derby. Was expecting much bigger waves on this cam given the wind.

Mr Torchey
hmm not really sure what this means, I gain 25 minutes of daylight by jan 31, ground hog day is a couple weeks away, and my low of 38 last night was 15 degrees above normal?? Perhaps I should call for 4-8 with lollies to ten every storm then I could be kewl. Facts are not welcome here.

Boston's high for today is 51, Providence 52, Worcester 46 all of these may have gone higher in between the hourly readings I'm not sure. What are the most recent departures for the month? With a 45 mph cold front all we've done is usher in near normal air. Viva la torch.
