Its not bad at the new stadium, the old stadium had those aluminum benches which was like sitting on a block of ice, I learned to take a blanket so my fanny wouldnt go numb.

I remember a game at Schaeffer Stadium close to 40 years ago. Must have been mid 1970s actually. Sunday afternoon with temps in the 20s. The block of ice is a good description! I also remember mini Mac Herron running back a kickoff 76 yards for a td.

Had season tickets from the day Parcells came in all the way to the start of the season after bowl two. I don't miss it.

I can go on stubhub and get the seats I want the wedneday before a game knowing the weather is good. Having sat through the tuck rule game and many other ball freezing games....I'm with sbos, would much rather sit around watching it on a 65" tv with friends and family. Don't get me wrong I've got the ticket framed with a picture from the tuck rule game, but I don't miss it.

...

My brother and I picked up tickets like that right from the box office in 1997 (?) for the Fog Bowl palyoff game against the steelers. We were 5 rows back on the 40 yard line but you couldn't see across the field. A couple of years later we had season tickets but gave them up few years ago. When you add up the cost of the pre-season tickets, the premium just doesn't make sense instead of buying the tickets for games that you want.

10F isotherm line moving south through Lakes Region of NH. Down to 9.6F here Down 2.25F past hour. Snowcover will help with tonights cold, didn't have it last cold spell.

Better snow cover would help here. The hillsides above me have patches at best. I have none. Down to 21 here and looking forward to single digits tomorrow morning.

Don't get me wrong I still enjoy going - this is the first year in 10+ I haven't been to a game, could have gone today but didn't..would rather watch it with my family/friends. I've just found I like the luxury of being able to pick and choose the games. Did the same for concerts over the summer.

It sure is. Congrats on your powder days, I'm jealous. I have the bug bad but it's hard to get out. I'll look forward to a day in mid Feb at Beast. We must make that happen. Then by end of season I'd like to do a day trip to MRG.

Hey Doug, some awesome skiing right now. The beast picked up 12-14" and I'll be there tomorrow. Trying to ski every day (night) before AK.

Just curious, if the daly value that get's put in the record books isn't set until midnight, what is the purpose of posting the departures as of now?

19/10

Why not? Today was a warm day compared to average. Perhaps the last few hours of the day can push the averages below normal. We shall see; that's the fun part!

9 exquisite degrees here. I had a tuna fish melt sandwich ...to continue the seafood theme. ;)

Julie and I walked into town, what a beautiful night temps in the upper 20s, not cold not warm just right.

Killer dinner, sushi was amazing.

I would imagine the run on sun screen will be impressive later next week, have faith in Feb.

I don't know about your area, but my high was 30° around noon which is 3° below my 30 year average. That matches ORH's departure and BDL was right at normal so I wouldn't call that warm compared to average here.

I've always had fun with the weather...I just don't get all the agenda's that some posters seem to have.

Each office issues a preliminary climate report early evening. Usually highs are afternoon lows in the Am

I know that but it seems like we always get the preliminary and never the final, especially on days like today when the final numbers won't be known until midnight.

The final is usually issued sometime after midnight. You'll see it in the morning or if you stay up late enough.

Today will end up negative because the low temps are already occurring now and there's still 3 hours to go.
