weathafella Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Its not bad at the new stadium, the old stadium had those aluminum benches which was like sitting on a block of ice, I learned to take a blanket so my fanny wouldnt go numb. I remember a game at Schaeffer Stadium close to 40 years ago. Must have been mid 1970s actually. Sunday afternoon with temps in the 20s. The block of ice is a good description! I can go on stubhub and get the seats I want the wedneday before a game knowing the weather is good. Having sat through the tuck rule game and many other ball freezing games....I'm with sbos, would much rather sit around watching it on a 65" tv with friends and family. Don't get me wrong I've got the ticket framed with a picture from the tuck rule game, but I don't miss it. ... My brother and I picked up tickets like that right from the box office in 1997 (?) for the Fog Bowl palyoff game against the steelers. We were 5 rows back on the 40 yard line but you couldn't see across the field. A couple of years later we had season tickets but gave them up few years ago. When you add up the cost of the pre-season tickets, the premium just doesn't make sense instead of buying the tickets for games that you want. 10F isotherm line moving south through Lakes Region of NH. That matches ORH's departure and BDL was right at normal so I wouldn't call that warm compared to average here. I've always had fun with the weather...I just don't get all the agenda's that some posters seem to have. Each office issues a preliminary climate report early evening.
