I think im biased because of the pain in the ass it is to get to foxborough. For me hockey is the sport to be in the building for...

I don't mind driving to foxboro and it's a lot more of a pain from here.

Nothing is better than an NFL game... from tailgating straight through the game.

If it was pouring rain I agree with Phil it sucks but cold, snow, heat there's nothing better.

I'm actually a Giants fan, but the waiting list back in 2000 or so was about 35 FREAKING years. That was until they blew it on the stupid seat licensing fiasco with the new stadium. My wife is the Pats fan, and the idea was that my son would be one, hence the pats route. And he is one - will be 10 years old in May.

I will keep you guys in mind if you are serious.

Never been to a pro football game...I'll go to one with ya.

The best thing about football and tailgating, is that it gives you an excuse to go back to the cave man days.

Nothing. I mean NOTHING beats a Jimmy Buffett Tailgait. Go to my fb page and check out some of the photos (the one's that I could post without making people blush). Arrival to the lot at noon for an 8:00pm show - wasted by 2:00 or 3:00. Total debauchery.

Agreed.

I love college hoops (huge college hoops fan)..but NBA blows

I know you are. I would be too living around Storrs. Just no real team with any chance around here, much like college football. It's really tough to become a big college football or basketball fan in Boston. College hockey is another story, 5 teams in the city have been to the final four/frozen four.

Sports for me

1. hockey

2. football

3. baseball

4. basketball

Personally think NHL hockey and MLB baseball playoffs are the most nerveracking. 2004 ALCS I was on the verge of a heart attack, and last years bruins playoffs was so crazy.

Wife and I split a pair of pats season tickets for 8 years back from 2000-2008, Had 4 games a year plus playoff seats, Use to stay overnight after the games at our friends in wrentham, Saw the last game at foxboro stadium, 1st one at CMGI field which was short lived and became Gillette, Was at the tuck rule game against the raiders, Was at the home opener to raise the super bowl banner, By far the coldest game was the playoff game against the titans that next year, I have clothing for riding so it is no big deal to me but i would laugh at all the people especially the young ones at the way they were dressed, You get Good and liquored up tailgating and the cold is no big deal.

I went to the playoff game (against Baltimore?) 2 years ago. Coldest day of the year, left the house with a temp of 1F around 9am and the high in Foxboro was like 19F I believe.

Lol, I like not missing a single detail of the game. Paying 150 for a last row balcony ticket is highway robbery. Not to mention id have to deal with all the BS of getting down to foxborough. In addition its gonna be goddamn miserable to sit in Gillette for four hours plus tailgating.

Gee or I can sit on the couch at my buddies and have a perfect view of the game in HD. LOL. Congratulations, you'll be too drunk to remember anything and freeze your balls off. Fun!

I'm heading up to my friends place for booze, food, and an 80 inch screen. F*ck freezing. But the big show is when the Gmen once again in the playoffs beat green bay Sunday. Perhaps a rematch soon? Be afraid of this Patriots.

Yeah, If you dress there is no problem how cold it is, Booze helps of course, I have been going to see the pats since the late 80's when they sucked If i had to guess i have seen 40 games and every NFL team

That's awesome. I've been to that playoff game and the Monday night game against KC this year. I've gone to quite a few sporting events though. In my 17 years I've been to:

15-20 mlb games (mostly Fenway, also Trop field, Rogers Center, Camden, Angel Stadium)

2 Pats games

5-6 Celtics games

A few Uconn games

1 Bruins game (this past Tuesday)

Its not bad at the new stadium, the old stadium had those aluminum benches which was like sitting on a block of ice, I learned to take a blanket so my fanny wouldnt go numb.

Had season tickets from the day Parcells came in all the way to the start of the season after bowl two. I don't miss it.

I can go on stubhub and get the seats I want the wedneday before a game knowing the weather is good. Having sat through the tuck rule game and many other ball freezing games....I'm with sbos, would much rather sit around watching it on a 65" tv with friends and family. Don't get me wrong I've got the ticket framed with a picture from the tuck rule game, but I don't miss it.

Even for this game the tickets weren't terrible, you could have gotten great seats for about $500 a few days ago in the 2's or upper 1's.
