Tropopause_Fold
overboard, it looks warm next week followed by this, I am referring to next week in general. that's fine. you made no inference that you were only talking a certain part of the run. anyway, it's got the same look as the euro with that cutter. it's not surprising by any means. CoastalWx
I was talking about the warm up next week and all out monsoon it depicts late next week. Scooter do you think Jan will be a below normal month over sne? If I had to guess, it would be above normal, but perhaps not the insane + departures. CoastalWx
Maybe I missed something, but what caused people to run for the cliffs this morning? Have we not said to expect another boring 7-10 days? I think I said this like 3 days ago. If any snow happens, it's luck. I don't see why everyone ran for the toaster.

CoastalWx
Wow, toasters all over the threads. Before you can get any storminess, step 1 is a cool down. After that, you can look for your beloved snow. The pattern is changing...whether or not it means snow or messy storms in one thing, but the whole regime is changing. That's all you can ask for right now.

CoastalWx
When are we really transitioning? Jan. 15th - ish? Around then or shortly after. Don't forget...transitioning isn't exactly flipping the switch. Maybe there is another toaster storm that occurs 3 days later. All it means is that the pieces of the puzzle come together. If people would just have realistic expectations, it would make things easier on themselves. Jan 2010 is not walking through that door.
