Also, sorry for large image, but made an animation off the 12z NAM (12km) showing the 1.5PVU isosurface as well as a cross section showing the trop fold. This is looking SSW from Canada. Heaviest snowfall time will be between 4-7Z, with .5" snowfall rates. After that snow should end around 09Z, then look for winds gusting up to 38mph possible afterwards. ksstormhunter Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Quick update, 02Z run showing Duluth and Minneapolis through 13Z with potential for the highest snowfall of 2.0 to 2.5". 07Z-08Z looks to be the heaviest period of snowfall. Then around 11Z winds will pick up with potential to see winds gusting up to 40mph in some locations. Across the rest of MN and WI looking at a general 1-2" with Isold 3-4".
