Quakertown needs snow
I wonder how the skaters will do with a 15-25 mph wind Monday. It's not exactly windy in the arenas. good thing its not during the alumni game otherwise the old guys would be blown over
NaoPos
i got box seats lol, so it can be as cold as it pleases How much did someone pay you to take them? :-)
Parsley
good thing its not during the alumni game otherwise the old guys would be blown over Lindros would easily sustain another concussion with winds over 30 mph. Damn shame the torch is already changing plans for Saturday.
phlwx
Just heard that they moved the Alumni game time tomorrow to 3pm due to weather issues. AM showers won't be that heavy, but they'd rather not play in any rain. They feel they can handle the mild temps. Glenn Sam Carchidi was tweeting that the ice wasn't that good when the sun was shining on it earlier this PM. https://twitter.com/#!/BroadStBull/status/152801224176050176 https://twitter.com/#!/BroadStBull/status/152835357451362304

JTA66
I don't know how much of a difference pushing today's game back to 3:00 is going to make, but they'd need sunblock if they went out there now.

Not as much temp but the rink would be completely covered by shadows from the stands on the 3rd base side by that point. It helps limit the potential melt factor some. Parsley
typical rangers fan Ha, I heard Bettman may forfeit the game to the Rangers since Philly is incapable of providing adequate weather for the Classic. Way to blow it Philly.

Parsley
rangers fan hoping for a forfeit knowing his team is gonna LOSE!! In the end, it's just 2 points in the standings. Flyers already lost one Classic. So, the worst the Rangers can do is tie that feat. By the way, how old are you, honestly?

Parsley
2012 AD (25) I hope you don't take me egging you on as serious. It's all good. Enjoy the game Monday. Honestly, the NY Giants win Sunday night will help lessen the sting "if" the Rangers don't win the Classic on Monday. My fear was both teams losing within 24 hours. That's not happening now. JTA66
The Flyers haven't defeated the Rangers this season. And the Flyers have never won an outdoor game. Those streaks END TODAY! Flyers 5 Rangers

Parsley
Maybe after the game they'll sell that fake snow around the ballfield on EBay for the weenies on this board to buy who are crying for snow.

blizzardlover
I was at the Winter Classic, and it was the way hockey was meant to be played -- cold, outside, with flurries. Unfortunately, Briere fanned on the penalty shot, otherwise the game would have been absolutely epic. That said, it was still a great time.
