ravensrule
I've been a good boy today, i'm letting everyone else do the dirty work. You deserve a lollipop or a round of golf when it hits 68 again this winter.
Bob Chill
winterwxluvr is always glass overflowing when it should be almost empty Yea, but he's really cool about it so I like it. He gets a free optimism season pass imo.
usedtobe
The gfs is worth watching aftr 120 hrs. it has a low coming out of gulf coast region and a vortex over Me at 120 hrs.
WxUSAF
GFS again has post-frontal snow showers/flurriers on Friday as the vortmax swings through.
Midlo Snow Maker
The gfs is worth watching aftr 120 hrs. it has a low coming out of gulf coast region and a vortex over Me at 120 hrs. looks very nice, but the hi looks to be slipping east, but plenty of time for things to change one way or the other

usedtobe
looks very nice, but the hi looks to be slipping east, but plenty of time for things to change one way or the other Probably for the worse but that's the kind of threat that is more viable than the mid week rain event. MN Transplant
The gfs is worth watching aftr 120 hrs. it has a low coming out of gulf coast region and a vortex over Me at 120 hrs. A ton of precip for the gulf coast states.

usedtobe
you think that high pres can stay right there just N of NY and not slide out? I think it slides out. The run is really bad in terms of what it does over Canada. It slams lots of westerly flow across western canada as it knocks down the ridge. WxUSAF
Rain at 168. Maybe snow to start verbatim. Still, this has been a time period on the radar for awhile now. There is confluence over NE, where we want it, which would serve to strengthen a high.
mitchnick
nice massive warming after 144 don't worry once we can get that pesty precip out of here, it will cool down nicely

MN Transplant
Comparing the 00z Euro and 12z GFS is interesting. The Euro holds back the SW low, whereas the GFS captures it. Leads to huge differences.
mitchnick
all I can say is, look how the mid week event has turned cold for NE in just the past day plenty of time on a Day 7 threat to get colder....or warmer
Ji
weird the euro has absolutely nothing in that same time frame its all about ejecting the s/w in the SW...does it retrograde or does it come out. The models have been flipping on that for days.

WxUSAF
192 saves the run! A little weird how the GFS has two storms back-to-back. All timing issues with the shortwaves.

WxUSAF
NHEM pattern looks pretty good Day 9-10. Get the North Atlantic block to retrograde a bit and we're in business. http://raleighwx.americanwx.com/models/gfs/12zgfs500mbHGHTNH228.gif
