amarshall
Personally surfed 20 ft plus waves Hurricane Danielle 1998. Don't think I want to go to 30 ft (Oct 1991). Our family beach house in Marshfield was severely damaged during no-name storm. Had my neighbors house leaning on top of ours. 107 degree heat, 130 at pavement level. Las Vegas in August. The wind blowing was worse. Like a hair dryer. 30" snow + check 2" + Severe hail, smashed skylights July 2 2003 (?) Scituate Ma. We were also tornado warned in marshfield and a waterspout touched down in Duxbury bay. Tornado - check Hurricane Gloria, Hingham Ma. -25 degrees, Mount Orford Quebec (also had 2 ft of powder) Thundersnow..check several times. 12/13/07 The famous 6 hr commute home 7 miles. Nice I was in Bills surf with flippers with some 20s I let glide under me but did ride some near 15'S, brutalized. I am surprised how many people have not experienced Tsnow. The one advantage of living near the coast is the wind and the tendency for convective snow.Jerry Wxfella the slate is clear every day but it would be nice if you listed the most intense of the categories, you being elder statesman and world traveler should be an exceptional list. amarshall
I'll also add micro-burst in a boat (3 times). While a fairly common weather occurrence, when you're 20 miles from land in Cape Cod Bay on a boat, it's life threatening. We were nearly sunk twice. I've since added Sirius weather radar to my boat. In the old days tuna fishing, by the time you saw the clouds it was too late. Now we're the first one to leave.

amarshall
I just missed the hail core in the Marshfield storm by 2 miles. I got dents in my roof of my car. My uncle was bringing his 67 Shelby GT350 Mustang down for the Marshfield fair car show. He missed the hail by 20 minutes. His car would have been toast.
