mattinpa
A 1040+ high in a good position and we still get rain at the end of the GFS. Maybe that outcome will trend better.
ag3
Not in the radar view I am looking at...it might be picking up some mid level clouds. If you are looking at the KDIX radar, SW CT is near the edge of the range and the radar beam is going to reflect off of particles quite high in the atmosphere. Look closer (i.e., KOKX) and you won't see those brighter reflectivities. It's being picked up on the composite radar of OKX. Probably not hitting the ground. Edge Weather
At hr. 192 the JMA has a 987mb low over Cape Cod and at hr. 192 the DGEX has a 980mb low over Atlantic City. And now the GFS has a 991mb low just north of Cape Cod at 192 hrs. Interesting.

Interesting. its all rain, no matter the sfc low placement. SE canada is terrible for this.
tmagan
Probably better off looking at the TDWR's in this instance.
Edge Weather
I am not so sure about the JMA though. It looks like it wraps the cold air in pretty quick when it bombs it out. its all rain, no matter the sfc low placement. SE canada is terrible for this. I'm also paying attention to what happens after this, as the late week storm doesn't look promising in terms of snow. From the latest models, there does not appear to be cold air needed to produce a significant I-95 snowstorm regardless of the track, but there doesn't appear to be any lack of cold air behind this storm with cold air spilling into the East as depicted on the ECM/DGEX/GFS. Any significant pattern change potential still appears to be later into the month beyond this time frame, but hopefully we could actually have a chance for something more than the typical mild rain we've seen so far behind this. NYCSuburbs
Congrats philly on the radar There's likely some flurries in the central Mid Atlantic, but otherwise a large part of it appears to be virga. Most stations around the DC/BWI area aren't reporting precipitation.

ag3
Yes, December 2012. Pattern change will happen in late February and March which does us no good. And will last through April, making it a MISERABLE spring.
