blizzardof09
not what you said but nice try at spiinning it. Had you actually posted this, instead of the crap you did, I would have kept my mouth shut. Seriously, knock off the crap or take it to a different forum. This place is finally cleaned up but for you. dont even bother trying to scold noreaster27 he is only a troublemaker and how he isnt five posted/ban already is a shock to me. he may have some intelligence regarding meteorology but he'd just rather stir up stuff. He ran away with his tail between his legs and should stay away for a few days now. These kind of trolls are all the same, lacking in self confidence from being stuffed in lockers during high school and being rejected from every person they asked to prom. Once you put them in their place, they shrivel up.

TheTrials
lmaooo your right. what do you think about the chance of some snow this evening for us coastal folks? some of the models are picking up on the possibility i mean nothing big but its there Haven't looked at much as I have been enjoying trolling AG3 in the sports forum, but I would say anytime you have WAA over a very cold dome, you got a shot at something. Need some lift, and I guess this short wave could do it. Right now it does appear you have to be on Long Island to see anything.

bmc10
That map seems to good to be true, if in fact it falls as snow... which i assume it would.. It shows some light flakes falling. Maybe a dusting. But I guess this year that would be to good to be true.
jm1220
weenie yes, but getting better, any flakes would be welcome That model is always so overdone when it comes to snow. I remember it blasting all of the area due to backlash from the Halloween storm, and it ended up being almost nothing.
Isotherm
My low was 12.1 here in Monmouth County, now up to only 21F under mostly cloudy skies.
Radders
LOL at the huge cutter on the 12Z GFS at 192 hours.. Would be heavy flooding rains and torching temperatures if this transpired. Hopefully this initiates the pattern change into more of a gradient pattern once we get this out of the way.

I remember it blasting all of the area due to backlash from the Halloween storm, and it ended up being almost nothing. Actually, the HRRRRR has been very good. The backlash from Halloween was there precip wise, that was not the problem. The problem was warm wedges and snow growth, not precip.

Mr Torchey
composite is now translating to the surface, and is improving quickly, and yes the hrrr tends to be overdone, but i think we can all agree any snow in this pattern is good snow

MJO812
DT *** ALERT **** euro ensembles at day 10 thru day 15 now showing MASSIVE stratospheric warming at the 'TOP" of the Atmosphere... (10 mb30mb and 50 mb for you weather geeks) . The SWW (SIGNIFICANT STRATOSPHERIC WARMING) event is now looking increasingly PROBABLE... over 50% chance for the 1st time. Day 12..13...14...15 euro ensemble MEAN shows HUGE amounts of warming and total destruction of super +AO that has been over far Northeast Canada and Greenland since NOV
NYCSuburbs
The risk I took yesterday was a bit too bold... went in a matter of one day from a moderate storm on Sunday to nothing at all. Even the risk of flurries tonight doesn't look too good as it appears the best risk for snow showers should focus to our south, over the central Mid Atlantic into southern/central NJ, clearly evident on the short range models and the NAM, although in the best case scenario NYC could see a few flakes tonight. Isotherm
26F today for the high, a few below forecast. Beautiful January day, just the way I like it. If I had my choice every day in January would be 20s/30s.

ag3
rain anyway with temps in the mid 40s Where there is heavier precip, temps are in the 30's. 540 line and 850 way south. But it's the DGEX, so who cares.
Stormlover74
Looks like something in SW CT that's probably reaching the ground. any flurries in se ny?
NorthShoreWx
Looks like something in SW CT that's probably reaching the ground. Not in the radar view I am looking at...it might be picking up some mid level clouds. If you are looking at the KDIX radar, SW CT is near the edge of the range and the radar beam is going to reflect off of particles quite high in the atmosphere. Look closer (i.e., KOKX) and you won't see those brighter reflectivities.
