HoarfrostHubb
GFS is a nightmare, low heads across nne all of sne is torched at 850 and the surface and precip is lacking Kev says put all your eggs in the GFS basket
Mr Torchey
Well, I dont think this could get much further north, so hopefully this trends south over the next 48 hours so that at least the interior could see a flip to snow at the end. snowNH
Kev says put all your eggs in the GFS basket LOL.. if Kevin's forecasts came true this winter we would have been cold by Thanksgiving, snowing by December 1st, and have about 80" of snow all from 1-4" events.. Oh and at least 3 damaging wind events

Logan11
The NAM is now spitting out .3" here with the clippah, but I'm pretty wary of this kind of event slipping more northward. God knows it happens every time this year. So hoping for the best anyway...... Pete should not be allowed to start threads.
Boston-winter08
well, the ensembles are definintely further south than the op, and there's good qpf as well
Boston-winter08
also, not sure if this has been brought up, the but the 9z srefs also look to be south from 21z (haven't seen 3z)

Tropopause_Fold
some serious cold next week on the GFS
ORH_wxman
This is a marginal threat....the upside isn't very big. As it stands now, most of SNE will probably not get much, though its really close for some interior spots...esp N of the pike and into S NH/S VT. But its best not to expect anything and just hope you get surprised in the final couple days.

weatherMA
some serious cold next week on the GFS Yesterday's run was actually even colder...but yeah it looks cold. Tuesday looks like maybe low-mid 20s at the coast, upper teens in the interior. Cold night Tuesday night-close to negatives for Pete as modeled I think. dendrite
Looking good for up here. The 12z NAM is a best case scenario for me. I get a bit of CAD ahead of the clipper to keep the BL cool and then the sfc low slips just south of me keeping the cold locked in. Then the burst of +SN moves through here although the NAM keeps the heaviest a little north of me. North of the sfc track there could be a surprise for some people. dendrite
I'm sure you'll do fine. We'll see. Systems have generally failed up here too since the pre-Thanksgiving SWFE. If the low goes a bit more north I'll be stuck with worthless RASN showers too.

dendrite
Didn't you see few inches Dec 23.. Yeah...2.5" of glop that is completely gone after last night. My point was a couple of days before that event I was on the northern fringe and then I ended up with 2.5" on 0.60" of water equiv. Outside of powderfreak land it's been disappointing for everyone.
